The research employed a quantitative method with a Pre-Experimental approach. Observation and documentation were used to collect data from 13 children at PAUD Kasih Ibu, Sindangrasa Village, Ciamis Regency. The results showed that 85% of the children were able to solve problems at an "excellent development" level, while 15% were in the "development as expected" category. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.001, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, with a confidence level of 85%. These findings suggest that the PBL model is effective in enhancing problem-solving abilities in early childhood. This research contributes to supporting the use of PBL as a teaching strategy to develop the cognitive skills of children aged 4-5 years.
Ilma Madya Khoiri Zam Zami, Dadang Ruhiat, Anggi Purwa Nugraha Copyright (c) 2024 Ilma Madya Khoiri Zam Zami, Dadang Ruhiat, Anggi Purwa Nugraha https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/85 Mon, 30 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode Bercerita Terhadap Kemampuan Kognitif Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/83
This study aims to examine the effect of storytelling methods of the stories of the Prophets and Messengers on the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at RA Miftahul Hidayah, Cibeureum Village, Banjar City. The research method employed is an experimental design with a quasi-experimental two-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests conducted on two groups: the experimental group, which received the storytelling treatment, and the control group, which did not receive the treatment. The results showed that the average cognitive ability related to the stories of the Prophets and Messengers before the storytelling method was applied reached 83.89%, while after the application of the method, it increased to 98.89%. Data analysis revealed a significant difference in cognitive abilities between the experimental and control groups. These findings indicate that the use of the storytelling method of the Prophets and Messengers' stories has a positive effect on improving the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years.
Ina Hasanah, Nono Mulyono, Agus Kuncoro Copyright (c) 2024 Ina Hasanah, Nono Mulyono, Agus Kuncoro https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/83 Mon, 30 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Model Project-Based Learning Terhadap Perkembangan Sosial Emosional Anak Usia Dini di Paud Dahlia https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/71
This study aims to analyze children's social-emotional development before and after implementing the Project-Based Learning model and to examine its effect on children aged 4-5 years at PAUD Dahlia, Cikoneng District. The research employed a pre-experimental method with a One-Group Pre-test Post-test design. The subjects were 15 children selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using the N-Gain and Wilcoxon tests with the help of Excel 2010 and SPSS 22. The pre-test results indicated that 87% of the children were in the Not Yet Developed (NYD) category, and 13% were in the Starting to Develop (SD) category. After implementation, post-test results showed improvement, with 40% of children in the Developing as Expected (DAE) category and 60% in the Very Well Developed (VWD) category. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significance value of 0.001, suggesting that the model significantly improves children’s social-emotional development. Thus, Project-Based Learning is proven effective for early childhood education.
Mitha Nurhalisa, Yusuf Hidayat, Rini Purbayani Copyright (c) 2024 Mitha Nurhalisa, Yusuf Hidayat, Rini Purbayani https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/71 Fri, 27 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Penggunaan Buku Cerita Bergambar Terhadap Kemampuan Mengungkapkan Bahasa Anak Usia Dini https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/84
This study is motivated by the low ability to express early childhood language in RA Al-Hikmah due to the less optimal use of learning media. This study aims to analyze the ability to express children's language before and after using picture storybooks and their effect on early childhood language development. The method used is an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Using a saturated sample technique, the study population included all students aged 5-6 years at RA Al-Hikmah as many as 20 people. Data were collected through observation sheets and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon test for hypothesis testing. The results showed that the average ability of children in the MB category was 20% and BSB was 80%. The Wilcoxon test shows a significant value (α < 0.05), so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This proves that the use of picture storybooks has a significant influence on the ability to express early childhood language at RA Al-Hikmah, Mekarharja Village, Purwaharja District, Banjar City.
Rosi Nursila Dewi, Endang Masluh Effendi, Anggi Purwa Nugraha Copyright (c) 2024 Rosi Nursila Dewi, Endang Masluh Effendi, Anggi Purwa Nugraha https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/84 Sat, 28 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Penggunaan Puzzle Games Terhadap Perkembangan Sosial Emosional Anak Usia Dini di Pos Paud Harapan Putera Galuh https://journal.putragaluh.ac.id/index.php/joece/article/view/72
This study aims to determine the effect of using Puzzle Games on the social-emotional development of children aged 4-5 years at Pos PAUD Harapan Putera Galuh, Cidolog District, during the 2023/2024 academic year.
